Joanna Dorsey

Joanna is an urban farmer and entrepreneur with experience in business leadership, marketing & project management. She studied Public Administration at CUNY Medgar Evers College and served as the President of the college’s NAACP Chapter. She is now serving as the co-advisor for the collegiate chapter of the NAACP. Joanna is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration with a focus on non-profit development at CUNY Baruch College. She is the executive director of Policy & Social Impact for Black Farmers United- NYS. In that capacity she works to communicate the stories of black farmers to legislators to push for equitable and inclusive laws that affect our food systems. She is also the founder of Ramsey Family Marketplace, an e-commerce grocery store that specializes in healthy and organic products made by people of color.
